About the Project:
In pursuance of achieving Sustainable Development Goals by 2030,
Government of India has been providing guidance to the states
for implementation and monitoring through NITI Aayog and MoSPI. About
65% of India’s population lives in rural areas and the Government
is increasingly routing the funding of social sector schemes in sectors such as
sanitation, housing, solid waste management etc. through rural local bodies.
In collaboration with UNICEF, Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra initiated the Bal-Sabha
Program in four districts: Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, and Barabanki.
Within these districts, this program focuses on demonstrating model of CFGP
working in 10 Gram-Panchayats, which aligns with the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) themes. Our goal is to create an inclusive and safe
environment for children in Gram Panchayats, ensuring Our objective is to
establish an inclusive and secure environment for children within Gram
Panchayats, with a commitment to upholding the underlying principle of the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) motto, which is "no one is left behind".
One of the key components of our child-friendly Panchayat is the Bal-Sabha or
Children's Parliament. This platform provides children with the opportunity to
voice their opinions, participate in decision-making, and contribute to the
development of their communities. Through the Bal-Sabha, we promote child
rights, education, health, protection, and leadership among children.
