Project Sanjivani: SSK extends COVID-19 relief to 1000 families in Jharkhand

COVID-19 relief under Sanjivani Project in Hussainabad block of Palamu district in collaboration with leading social organization Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra and Malteser International Germany with the aim of reducing the financial constraints of the families affected by the second wave of global pandemic COVID-19 and providing them strength to fight against social disdain. Free dry ration was distributed among one thousand extremely poor, deprived and corona-affected families living in Tale village. This program went on for three consecutive days. In the ration kit, each beneficiary was given 15 kg flour, 1-liter mustard oil, 1 kg salt, 2 kg pulses, 2 bath soaps, 2 laundry soaps. The workers of the center distributed the materials through the beneficiaries, workers visiting their door to door, and some beneficiaries on the campus. Ashok Bhai, the director of Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra said that in the second wave of pandemic, people in the poor families of Hussainabad block have been affected the most in the district. Due to limited employment, unemployment and return of migrants back home in lockdown, financial crisis has worsen. Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra is working for the all round development of economically backward poor and deprived families in Hussainabad area for 11 years imapcting more than 5000 households and striving to reach out more such villages.
